Show Updates Print E-mail

Angels of Life will be displaying some of their dolls and doing a panel/showcase at Alcon this weekend in Leicester, there will be a raffle where you can win many prizes, 2 being 2 amazing BJD dolls kindly donated to Maz for Angels of Life, by Fairyland from Korea, all proceeds will be going to Make-A-Wish an amazing and well deserved charity.  There will also be a workshop showing how to re-string BJD's, how a faceup can be done and general maintenance and you can also ask questions and find out tips.  Alcon is a pre booked event and we look forward to seeing attendee's there.

 Update: Saturday 6th Sept

1st day of Alcon has been brilliant, met some lovely people, seen some great cosplay outfits and had a tiring but fun day, we have raised so far on day one £180.00/$360.00 for Make-A-Wish, which is absolutely amazing and hopefully we can raise alot more for them tomorrow, so dig deep, every penny goes to a well deserving charity and will help a childs dreams come true.

We would like to thank everyone today who bought tickets for the raffle and also thank anyone planning to buy tomorrow, lets see if we can reach £300/$600 that would be awesome.

Draw is 3pm tomorrow, updates to Angels of Life will be in the evening, with pics of the winners, pics of the stand and more.

I would also like to thank our lovely taxi driver Terry from elite cars, who drove us to a curry house on London Road, he kindly donated the cab fare of £5.00 to the charity fund for Make-A-Wish, which was a lovely gesture, so thanks Terry from myself and my husband.

 Update: Sunday 7th Sept

2nd day equally amazing, had fun at the panel and workshop, even if the doll bit me, those in the know saw the bruise lol, met some lovely people and saw some amazing dolls.

We would like to thank everyone who bought raffle tickets today, we raised an amazing £300/$600 in total, plus some change in the charity box, this is awesome and will be posted of to Make-A-Wish tomorrow, this money will go towards making a childs wish come true and we thanks everyone one of you who bought tickets.

Also we would like to congratulate the many runners up orize winners, especially a certain someone who loved his plushie sea horse.  We hope you like the fun prizes.

But congratulations must go to Ian who won the 2nd prize of the lovely Puki pipi, Ian was so surprised and chuffed and I know our little Puki has gone to a great home.

and Rachael, Rachael won the 1st prize of a minifee Ryeon special package. The look on her face as she realized she had won was a picture, this is Rachael's first doll as she had been saving up for one, so we are sure she will be very spoilt.

Once again I would like to thank Fairyland for donating the lovely dolls, we are very grateful to you it was an amazing gift, Diverse Designs and Spampy from DoA for their donations of clothes for the prize dolls, thank you to Alcon for asking us to exhibit and hold the charity raffle, thanks to Mao-Chan for helping write and fold tickets, Richard for all his support and help and thanks to everyone who bought tickets and came to the stand and chatted, you have help raise an amazing amount of money for Make-A-Wish and we will udate when the thank you letter arrives and post it here.
